Seeräuber Jenny

A collection of snaps I took from a gig as part of a uni brief for this band. These are just a few of my favourites, as the actual outcome will be a music video - however, these could still be incorporated. As an image, I like it how it is though, could be an album insert etc - but these guys want lo-fi, so not ideal on this particular occasion !

Striped Sock Cat

This one has a face ! - successful ? I don't know ... still can't see anything though. . . it's arms are ropey as well - different kind of socks = different ways of doing things me thinks ... ears appear to perhaps be more successful, and the material didn't fray and give up quite as much, so who knows, keep trying  ! !!

Sock Cat

My attempt at sock cats ! .... first attempt anyway, more to come.. A little tatty,  but chose not to make a separate head for this one, as it's more a stylised cat - partially my excuse for it having no face, but also as I couldn't visualise it with one .. I quite like it without .. clean, contemporary, blue cat!  The little one is made out of the remainder of the one sock I used to make the bigger one, so it very tatty, as was quite fiddly, and on a second attempt could be approached better.

Bertie the Sock Dog

I made this sock dog for my flat mate, Katy - one, as she's obsessed with dogs, two, it's her birthday soon, and three - she can't have her pet dog visit when she moves into the new flat with me come the new uni year, so! Here is her new flat mate, sock dog Bertie. Bit tatty - but adds to the charm - just fixed his eyes =/ they fell off...

Cracking on with a web design mini project, and another motion brief expected on tuesday....

Side project on Meeting Places is steadily getting started - ideas are there, just need the execution!

Went to see NYPC at Moho Live last night - got some snaps, was good to see live music as always - and will be again at Ruby Lounge on Thursday, for Hidden Revolution (a regular endeavour!), The Twilight Sad, and Take A Worm For A Walk ??? ...

Worth checking them all out anyway!

Machine ate my card, so tomorrow it's library for negotiated theory essay, then bank, then gym, then off to see a film at the cinema ... review should be posted if I remember I have this blog! ..

Recently seen Shutter Island - didn't satisfy me somehow, it was good though.

it's been a while!

Well, it's been a jolly while...

Went to the Ritz, Manchester last night - thoroughly sticky place..apparently famous.... so very tired...

Design wise, I'm quite looking forward to making a cracking start on my 3 projects!

1. A typography motion brief, with a new way of learning software from a lovely fellow named Stu

2. Web design workshops - redesign a music website (although we're so far off starting that at the minute it's ridiculous...)

3. Motion Project for the BBC 21cc group .... I shall reveal more later when the time has passed !

- Might be able to tell, alot about motion there! - I'm doing Graphic Design BA(hons) at Salford, in second year, and chose Motion and Interactivity pathway =) ......

Haven't got our own tutor so far, sharing with illustrators - but he's enthusiastic and fighting for our cause !
